Becky Dornisch exercised, ate healthy, and did not smoke or have high cholesterol or blood pressure. But she did have a family history of heart disease. And that was enough to cause a 90% blockage in her left anterior descending artery, known to many by its more ominous name: The Widowmaker.
Fortunately, Becky is alive today because she listened to her body’s nagging symptoms and was quickly evaluated, diagnosed, and treated at the MUSC Health Heart & Vascular Center.
By making a gift to the Heart & Vascular Center, you can empower us to continually push the limits of what’s possible in cardiovascular care, giving our patients and their families the hope for a long, healthy, and active life.
