YES supports teens with cancer

Can-Teen takes a ride around Charleston
Each year, the group goes on a retreat where the teens bond and have fun like "normal" kids. This special overnight trip is paid for by generous MUSC employees who donate to the YES Family Fund through the Yearly Employee Support (YES) Campaign.

Can-Teen Retreat

This special overnight trip is paid for by generous MUSC employees who donate to the YES Family Fund through the Yearly Employee Support (YES) Campaign.

YES: It starts with US

The YES Family Fund is one of more than 1,500 funds supported by MUSC employees through the YES Campaign.

The Family Fund is special because the money donated by employees is available to employees through a grant program. Employees can apply for funds for projects or services that support MUSC’s mission.

Over the past year, Family Fund grants have supported 20 projects, including:

  • Can-Teen, a support group at MUSC Children’s Hospital for teens with cancer. Each year, the group goes on a retreat where the teens bond and have fun like "normal" kids.
  • Family meal coupons, a program for families with children staying in our hospital
  • The creation of take-home kits with Naloxone Nasal Spray and educational materials for patients at high-risk of an opioid overdose.

We’re one MUSC family, but have the opportunity to make a difference to so many more families on our campus and within our community. These projects can’t continue without the YES Family Fund, and the YES Family Fund can’t continue without you.

This year, we need to raise $506,000 to support these funds – and we have until June 30 to do it, together.
