Facilities

The Engineering and Facilities Unit is here 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing support services for the Medical University of South Carolina. We manage a wide range of maintenance and improvement activities for existing University and Clinical facilities, oversee all aspects of renovation and new construction, and provide leadership in sustainability which includes recycling and waste stream reduction, utilities management, and planned renewal.

Any unusual occurrence, utility malfunction or equipment failure that presents an imminent danger to life or health or has the potential for major damage to property is an emergency and should be reported immediately to our Facility Response Center at 843-792-4119 or 843-792-5600. Non-emergency requests may be submitted online through the horseshoe.
