Office Federal & State Compliance

Office of Federal & State Compliance: This office ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state civil rights laws, including but not limited to Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, and Section 1557. 

  • Led by Title IX Coordinator & Director of Civil Rights Compliance Daniela Sorokko Harris, J.D. and Director of Equal Employment Opportunity & University Accessibility Services Stephanie T. Price, M.A., this office:
    • Investigates and resolve complaints of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other forms of civil rights violations, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, bullying, and hazing.
    • Provides guidance and support on matters related to pregnancy and parenting accommodations for students and residents. This includes:
      • Reasonable modifications to academic programs and clinical rotations.
      • Lactation support services.
    • Assists with disability accommodations for students and ensures accessibility for all members of our community. This includes:
      • Providing reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.
      • Ensuring the accessibility of academic facilities, programs, and services.
      • Promoting a supportive and welcoming culture for students with disabilities.
    • Offer consultations and customized training to departments on relevant compliance topics.
