Sustainability & Recycling
The role of the Sustainability & Recycling Department at the Medical University of South Carolina is to promote campus sustainability through programs and initiatives across campus, but also to provide sustainability expertise and leadership to our campus and the Greater Charleston Community.
A general definition of sustainability is the ability to meet our needs in the present without sacrificing the ability of future generations to meet their needs. For MUSC, this means supporting the communities on which we depend by balancing environmental, social, and economic interests.
Signup for the MUSC Green Team email list for monthly updates on events, initiatives, and more.
MUSC students, faculty, and staff can learn how to recycle and save energy at MUSC by visiting the Sustainability and Recycling section on the Horseshoe intranet under "For Everyone, Facilities."
A monthly series on different sustainability-related topics. Normally held on the first Wednesday of the month from 1-2 pm at various location across campus.
