Education Innovation Award

The Education Innovation Cabinet (EIC) is seeking new ways to encourage student learning by looking at learning through a different lens – a lens that promotes exploration, resourcefulness, and creativity to find solutions or answers to questions.

The Cabinet, which operates under the purview of the Provost, is seeking pilot programs or existing classroom innovations that would benefit from financial support. Of special interest are projects that have the potential to be scaled for application in other programs and colleges.

For example, the EIC recently funded a faculty member who uses virtual reality in teaching neuroanatomy. The EIC is now working with this faculty member to support expansion beyond what they are currently doing.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Up to two $15,000 awards are available for each funding cycle. The one-time award can support software purchases, products, and faculty training (including travel), if needed to support education intervention (e.g., training); however, funds cannot be used for FTE support.
