Fitness and Health Programs

The MUSC Wellness Center is proud to offer a variety of fitness and health programs. Inquire at the Membership Desk or call 843-792-5757 for more information and pricing for members, students, and non-members. 

Bridge Run Prep Clinic

This program is designed to help you get ready for the Bridge Run and any other racing events in the near future. Every participant will get a training outline, structural guidelines for natural progression, weekly increased training activity, basic nutrition tips, education on running biometrics, ideas for choosing the proper footwear, and guidelines to rest and hydrate. The Bridge Run Prep Clinic takes place on the indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) tracks at the Wellness Center. Designed by James Johnson in collaboration with Dusty Jackson and our exercise science intern from CofC Shannon Smith


This clinic takes place Feb. 28 - March 28. Times include:

  • Tuesdays 7-7:45 a.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Thursdays 7-7:45 a.m.

My Best Health Challenge

This is a new 6-week most innovative Challenge.

  • You will be exercising with your team 2 times a week in our science based performance center Next Wave which is equipped with innovative machines some of which are exclusive to the Wellness Center.
  • During your workouts you will be using Myzone, a wearable fitness tracker that you are getting with your program.
  • We will be using the world’s first intelligent bioscan Evolt 360, a scientifically validated method of body composition used in medicine and science. This scanner is the fastest non-invasive machine that provides you with instant results with over 40+ internal measures. We will track your progress weekly! 
  • You will receive nutrition support from our registered dietician Judith Herrin, MS
  • Teams are limited to 8 people!

Fit for All  

This specialized, six-week, high-energy program combines circuit style and interval training to take your fitness to the next level. It combines strength and endurance training to ensure you reach your goals. Master Trainer Chris-Ann has 29 years of experience successfully leading individuals of all fitness levels into premier athleticism.  


  •    Pre and post functional movement assessment
  •    12, 45-minute sessions 

Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:00 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.  

Location: Indoor Basketball Gym

Females In Boxing

This program is a great way to learn a new skill, build confidence, and meet some talented women all at the same time. Get fit physically and mentally while learning a new skill. Females in Boxing is open to all levels of experience and is taught by Cindi Day. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am. You can learn more about this popular program and register for it at our front desk or online.

H.I.T.S. with James Johnson

The new session of HITS (High Intensity Training System) runs Feb. 21 - March 17. Members cost $100, and students $50. HITS makes you stronger, faster, more powerful and agile, and is a great program for anyone at the Wellness Center. This program meets from 6-6:55 a.m. Performance meets Tuesdays, Foundation meets Wednesdays, and both meet Fridays. Sign up now at the front desk or online!


It takes an extraordinary commitment of our resources to prepare, coordinate, and staff our facilities, programs, services, and classes; therefore, all payments are non-refundable and cannot be prorated.

The following fee for services, classes, and programs are not refundable and not prorated:

  • Locker Rentals
  • Parking Fees
  • Room Rental
  • Guest Fees

Program Fees including small group training, swim lessons, personal training sessions, Pilates, Healthy Charleston Challenge, etc.

MUSC Wellness Center reserves the right to delay or cancel any activity or class due to inclement weather, natural disasters, or extenuating circumstances. Weather make-up sessions may be scheduled, but are not guaranteed. No credits or refunds will be issued for classes not attended. All training sessions and programs must be purchased in advance. Session and program payments are non-refundable. Training sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be redeemed, and cannot be rescheduled unless the trainer and management provide an exception for special circumstances. Transferring unused personal training sessions to an immediate family member may be allowed at the discretion of the Wellness Center Director.
