Fitness and Health Programs

The MUSC Wellness Center is proud to offer a variety of fitness and health programs. Inquire at the Membership Desk or call 843-792-5757 for more information and pricing for members, students, and non-members. 

My Best Health Challenge

This is a new 6-week most innovative Challenge.

  • You will be exercising with your team 2 times a week in our science based performance center Next Wave which is equipped with innovative machines some of which are exclusive to the Wellness Center.
  • During your workouts you will be using Myzone, a wearable fitness tracker that you are getting with your program.
  • We will be using the world’s first intelligent bioscan Evolt 360, a scientifically validated method of body composition used in medicine and science. This scanner is the fastest non-invasive machine that provides you with instant results with over 40+ internal measures. We will track your progress weekly! 
  • You will receive nutrition support from our registered dietician Judith Herrin, MS
  • Teams are limited to 8 people!

Boot Camp 

Military style fitness training class. This class focuses on overall fitness and endurance training. The structure, accountability, camaraderie, and overall fitness make this the ultimate exercise experience. Mondays and Fridays, 6:00am. 

Fundamentals of Yoga

Perfect for beginners, advanced and the in-between students. We will deep dive and workshop key components of yoga. After this series, students will have the foundational understanding of common yoga postures with alignment, refinement and modifications, transitions between postures, ways to incorporate breath with movement, and tools to help the body and mind rest and restore.

During this 6-week series, we will breakdown key elements of yoga, including:

  • Common Postures/Asanas and transitions
  • Vinyasa classic and modifications
  • Technique, alignment, form, refinement
  • Breathwork
  • Restore & rest

Saturdays, 11:30am

Females In Boxing

Build punching combinations and confidence in a fun and energetic atmosphere. Get fit physically and mentally while learning a new skill. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am.

 

H.I.T.S. with James Johnson

H.I.T.S. is a strength and conditioning program that improves overall athleticism in any athlete or individual. Sessions offered every 6 weeks on Tuesdays and Fridays 6:10am - 7:05am.

FEES FOR SERVICES POLICY:

It takes an extraordinary commitment of our resources to prepare, coordinate, and staff our facilities, programs, services, and classes; therefore, all payments are non-refundable and cannot be prorated.

The following fee for services, classes, and programs are not refundable and not prorated:

  • Locker Rentals
  • Parking Fees
  • Room Rental
  • Guest Fees

Program Fees including small group training, swim lessons, personal training sessions, Pilates, Healthy Charleston Challenge, etc.

MUSC Wellness Center reserves the right to delay or cancel any activity or class due to inclement weather, natural disasters, or extenuating circumstances. Weather make-up sessions may be scheduled, but are not guaranteed. No credits or refunds will be issued for classes not attended. All training sessions and programs must be purchased in advance. Session and program payments are non-refundable. Training sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be redeemed, and cannot be rescheduled unless the trainer and management provide an exception for special circumstances. Transferring unused personal training sessions to an immediate family member may be allowed at the discretion of the Wellness Center Director.
