2024 Global Health Week - April 8–12

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Center for Global Health is excited to welcome you to the 2024 Global Health Week!

Please save the dates – this year's Global Health Week will take place the week of Monday, April 8, 2024.

This year's keynote presentation will be delivered by Nancy Reynolds, Ph.D., MS, BSN, RN, the associate dean of global affairs at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing (pictured: right). The presentation will take place at noon on Tuesday, April 9, in the Bionengineering Auditorium (BE 110) on the Charleston campus. The title of her address is, "The Vulnerability of Health Care in Conflict Zones: The Role of the University." MUSC Provost Dr. Lisa Saladin will share opening remarks introducing Dr. Reynolds.

Submit Your Abstracts for April 11 Poster Presentation Session

The Center for Global Health is seeking MUSC students, residents, fellows, post-docs, faculty and staff who are engaged in global health related research, clinical, service, and educational projects to present their work during the 2024 MUSC Global Health Week. Posters will be presented on Thursday, April 11, in the Drug & Discovery Building Lobby.

Abstracts, which must be submitted to the center by March 22, are welcome in all areas of global health. Examples of projects include research, program evaluation, public health, quality improvement/program evaluation, clinical care, clinical rotations, capacity-building, literature review, case study.
