One-week virtual immersive elective in Bolivia

An innovative 1 credit elective that is offered in collaboration with Child Family Health International (CFHI), a leading nonprofit organization that is well established at providing community-based global health education programs. The course is uniquely designed for an inter-professional experience for Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy students through a completely virtual platform. Content is provided through an immersive experience for five consecutive days for approximately eight hours a day. The experience includes virtual visits to five sites in Bolivia, and programming includes lectures, round tables, real and simulated cases, and a service-learning project. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in a virtual city tour and local cooking class to expand their understanding of the Bolivian culture.
