There is a lot to be thankful for this year! On Friday, November 12, 2021, the Center for Global Health and International Student Association hosted the annual Thanksgiving celebration lunch for MUSC international community members. Boxed lunches were served on a beautiful day in the MUSC Urban Garden, where everyone was able to gather and celebrate.

Attendees expressed what they were thankful for this year. Here are a few responses:

Volunteers serve food at Thanksgiving.

I am thankful …

for my family who supports my career; for anyone who brings warmth to me.

to all International friends for making this wonderful community.

for the supportive family and friends, I have managed to surround myself with.

for the beautiful blossoming souls to which I connect in space and time in this attempt of a light flight.

for the whole MUSC family.

for having the chance to do a Ph.D. in a school I love; for having amazing friends and family.

for New beginnings.

for all of your contributions to the US.

for my co-worker and my family who helped me in this special year (I am a new mom.)

for this meal giving me perfect emotions and a very good mood. I enjoyed it!

that there was no major hurricane this year.

for all my friends and their happiness and my parent’s good health.

for the Center for Global Health and Redeemer for hosting this wonderful celebration every year!

for the trees and flowers that brighten up gloomy days.

for my health, education, and family.

for the opportunity to study in the USA.

for ISA making my stay at MUSC interesting and fun.

for life, sunshine, COVID vaccines, friends, family, and MUSC!!!

to all the volunteers and health workers who worked hard in this tough COVID-19 phase. Due to their dedication, we are looking forward to a mask-free and COVID-free world. Happy Thanksgiving.
