MUSC Health’s contract with Humana Medicare Advantage and Humana’s Healthy Horizons Medicaid Insurance expires Dec. 31, 2024

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Oct. 9, 2024)- As of Dec. 31, 2024, MUSC Health’s contract with the Humana Medicare Advantage product and Humana’s Healthy Horizons Medicaid product will end. Patients will need to switch plans or find an in-network provider. This termination does not impact patients with a Humana Medicare Supplemental plan or patients with TriCare. Additionally, MUSC accepts a variety of other insurance plans to ensure that patients can remain under the care of their MUSC physician. Visit muschealth.org/humana24 to learn more.

Open enrollment for Individual Medicare Advantage plans is from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7. To switch, Medicare advantage patients may talk to an insurance broker, visit the CMS website for managed care enrollment or call 800-633-4227.  If your Humana Medicare Advantage is offered through an employer or former employer, please contact the employer concern options for other plans and when your open enrollment period may be. Humana Healthy Horizons Medicaid members can switch plans through South Carolina Healthy Connections Choices by calling 877-552-4642, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. TTY users can call 877-552-4670.
