MUSC's 4th annual Inclusion to Innovation Summit – “Reconciliation, Resiliency and the Path Forward”

In the face of all of the challenges 2020 has presented, we are choosing to grow and learn as we refocus on the shifting paradigms in organizational diversity and the social justice agenda. To review the 4th Inclusion to Innovation Summit click here.

MUSC students are able to attend at no cost, though registration is required. Other members of the MUSC community may attend at a discounted price, which may be paid through IIT. All participants should individually register, rather than one person registering for a group, and participation will provide D&I credit.

Featured Keynotes

The Rev. Canon Nontombi Naomi Tutu grew up under apartheid in South Africa as the daughter of activist parents Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Nomalizo Leah Tutu. Her experiences led her to become an activist who speaks about truth and reconciliation while sharing her experiences.


Joy DeGruy, Ph.D., is a researcher, educator, author and presenter. Her work addresses the impacts of residual traumas, ways the present is influenced by former generations and how we can build upon the strengths gained from the past to heal injuries of today.


Olympian John Register’s life changed with one misstep that resulted in the amputation of his left leg. Register went on to compete in the 1996 and 2000 Paralympics, earning a silver medal and setting an American record. Register now speaks about overcoming adversity.
