Providing reasonable accommodations: We provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to ensure equal access, unless doing so would fundamentally alter the nature of the program or impose an undue burden. We encourage students and applicants with disabilities to request accommodations in a timely manner through the Office of Federal and State Compliance. Ensuring effective communication: We communicate with individuals with disabilities in a manner that is as effective as communication with others. This includes providing information in accessible formats, such as large print, Braille, electronic text, and providing auxiliary aids and services where appropriate, such as sign language interpreters, captioning, and assistive listening devices.

Maintaining accessible facilities: We ensure that our facilities are readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities, in accordance with applicable accessibility standards. This includes providing accessible entrances, restrooms, parking, transportation, and other physical accommodations. To report a facility accessibility concern, email ada-support@musc.edu

Preventing discrimination and harassment: We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment on the basis of disability. We have established procedures for reporting and investigating complaints of discrimination and will take appropriate action to address any violations of the Policy on Nondiscrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Equal Opportunity.
