Tired but happy, 6-year-old MUSC Children's Health patient Tisa Myer snuggles up to Spider-Man. He's actually Mount Pleasant Police Sergeant Eric Rowell, but she knows he has some Spidey skills. She just saw him and other members of his SWAT team rappel down the side of MUSC Children's Health.

Thirteen-year-old heart transplant recipient Duke Lindsay was wowed, too. “It was really awesome," he says.

Every Halloween, the SWAT team drops in — literally — to cheer up the children here. The hospital's Child Life team supplies costumes for the kids to wear while they watch real-life police heroes dressed as superheroes put on a gravity-defying show.

For a while, the kids can forget about why they're in the hospital and focus on the fun of Halloween.
