Office of Equity

The Office of Equity at the Medical University of South Carolina exists enterprise-wide to monitor federal and state compliance, improve equitable culture and engagement, and encourage inclusive excellence. Our team is dedicated to increasing inclusivity, equity, and belonging across our campuses and regional health networks.

This month, we observe Diwali, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Native American Heritage Month. November is a time to rejoice in diverse and rich cultures, histories, and traditions. We honor the remarkable Native Americans who have contributed to the character of our nation, community, and organization, and we look forward to honoring our veterans at our annual Veterans Day Program. As we observe, let us commit to building awareness, knowledge, and understanding across cultures and teams.

We invite you to acknowledge Diwali, Veterans Day, Native American Heritage Month, and other observations this month individually and with your teams and colleagues. We also encourage you to be flexible, inclusive, and receptive as we seek to further our OneMUSC strategic goal of becoming the preeminent model for inclusion and equity nationwide.
