In Our DNA SC - Mini-Grant

The purpose of the In Our DNA SC Mini-Grant Program is to provide funding to community partners to support educational events and initiatives that are aligned with the goals of the In Our DNA SC community health research project. Organizations and individuals are welcome to apply for a grant by completing the necessary application, which can be found here. All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and you will be contacted directly by In Our DNA SC staff about your application.

Family Heart Foundation

The mission of the Family Heart Foundation is to save generations of families from heart disease through timely identification and improved care of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) and elevated Lipoprotein(a). Through research, advocacy, and education we drive change, and empower families to navigate their own health.

FORCE

FORCE improves the lives of the millions of individuals and families facing hereditary breast, ovarian, pancreatic, prostate, colorectal and endometrial cancers. Our community includes people with a BRCA, ATM, PALB2, CHEK2, PTEN and/or other inherited gene mutation(s) and those diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome. They accomplish this through their education, support, advocacy and research efforts.

They are dedicated to providing up-to-date, expert-reviewed information and resources that help people make informed medical decisions. Their strong, supportive community of peers and professionals ensures no one must face hereditary cancer alone. FORCE serves as a champion, unifying the community and advocating for awareness, access to care, and better treatment and prevention options.

NothingPink

NothingPink's mission is to create awareness of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer and provide personalized support to individuals at high risk.

NothingPink supports individuals walking through a difficult season of navigating a positive genetic result or a hereditary breast/ovarian cancer diagnosis. NothingPink is governed by an active volunteer Board of Directors and is successfully partnered with major advocacy groups, healthcare providers, and a team of genetic counselors to promote awareness and early intervention for individuals at high risk for breast and ovarian cancers to optimize their outcomes.

NothingPink is focused on providing support for women and men and their families in North and South Carolina.

Healthy Me-Healthy SC

Healthy Me-Healthy SC is a joint MUSC-Clemson initiative and offers various programs and resources to South Carolinians. In Our DNA SC offers collection at many of Healthy Me-Healthy SC’s Health Fair Events which are located across the state.
